A few months ago, before a Bible Study, I sat down and prayed with a friend who was having some personal issues in his life. He and I talked about his situation and things that was going wrong in his life. He went on to tell me about his drug abuse, his failed marriage, the many jobs he’d lost and so many other things that had gone wrong. He talked about how he prayed from time to time but he had never repented or asked God to forgive him of his sins. He also had never asked Jesus to come into his life and help him.
After listening to him I began to tell him that God loves him and that He was there for him. I also told him that God’s love is unconditional. I asked him what kind of car he drove. He told me that he drove a BMW 745 with all of the accoutrements. He told me about all of the gold chains he owned and all of the material things he has had at one time or another. After he finished talking I asked him where he took his BMW to get fixed when it needed service. He looked at me and said, “Man, I drive a 745 Beemer. You know that I only let the BMW tech’s touch my car…and no one else!” Plus, he went on to talk about how he purchased the extended warranty. I looked in his eyes and I told him, “Just like he took his car and other items back to the manufacturer to be fixed, our Manufacturer and Creator wants us to do the same. Our Manufacturer wants us to come back to him when we are broken so that he can fix us up, dust us off, and restore us to like new condition. God made us and knows all about us. He knows us even down to the number of hairs on our head.
When you are feeling troubled and down don’t give up. When you are feeling stressed or worried, don’t give up. When you just can’t seem to see the light at the end of the tunnel, don’t give up. When your spirit is broken, your heart is broken, your body broken…don’t give up…go to your Manufacturer and let him fix it all for you. Call out to your Heavenly Father and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. And always remember, God’s warranty is unlimited .
